    Fire and Earth Exhibition

    The Fire and Earth exhibition presented the art objects created by Vassilena Stancheva, Valery Kozarev, Denilin Georgiev, Plamena Peneva, Svetly Evgeniev, Anna Medarska, Yane Gadzhev, Emil Bachijsky, Ass. Prof. Cyril Mateev, also participants in the Contact Zones project, town of Bratsigovo.

    Contact Zones. “St. Anastasia”

    Nikol Decheva, Valentin Shtinkov. Zdravko Sirakov, Mira Turlakova, Albena Michaylova, Prof. Nikolay Mladenov, Prof. Christina Borissova, Ass. Prof. Georgy Pavlov, students and tutors of the NAAʼs “Poster and Visual Communication” faculty presented designs for a complete system of visual communication, advertising materials and souvenirs for the “St. Anastasia” tourist complex.

    Beyond Paintings: The Art and Times of Boris and Slavka Denev

    Boris and Slavka Denevsʼ artistic heritage, notable for its significance and volume, has been the subject of numerous studies. This exhibition followed the development of those two artistsʼ styles, of their views on art and life, glimpsed at the unlit zones of their creativity, the intimate world of their friendships, ambitions, ideals. Many documents, photographs and paintings were shown for the first time ever.

    7 х 5 х 3. Seven discussion fields of contemporary Bulgarian painting

    The 7 х 5 х 3 project brought together 7 curator projects, presenting 5 authors by 3 works each. It was motivated by the rise of a new generation of art critics and artists, working in the conditions of a dynamically changing art scene. In its essence, this was a exploratory project attempting to find an answer to what is happening today within the broad and multifaceted space of contemporary Bulgarian painting.

    Contact Zones. Ilindentcy

    This exhibition presented works by students of the NAAʼs “Sculpture” and “Woodcarving” faculties: Dobromir Bonev, Dimitar Nikolov, Elena Gugleva, Kremena Zhobova, Prof. Stoyan Lyutakov and Ass. Prof. Tsvetoslav Christov, Krassimir Metodiev, doctoral candidate at the St. St. Cyril and Methodius university of Tarnovo, and Ivan Russev, chair of the Ilindentcy Art Center foundation, who participated in the Contact Zones project.

    120 Years of Bulgarian Art

    This project presented 32 digital prints of emblematic works and authors included in the 120 Years Bulgarian Art 3-volume book series. In the Sofia City Park, the the people and the visitors of Sofia could make a virtual journey through the years and enjoy some of the best achievements in Bulgarian fine arts, decorative-applied arts and design.
