The 6 Shipka Str. Gallery of the UBA
Nikol Decheva, Valentin Shtinkov. Zdravko Sirakov, Mira Turlakova, Albena Michaylova, Prof. Nikolay Mladenov, Prof. Christina Borissova, Ass. Prof. Georgy Pavlov, students and tutors of the NAAʼs “Poster and Visual Communication” faculty presented designs for a complete system of visual communication, advertising materials and souvenirs for the “St. Anastasia” tourist complex.
The participants in the second edition of the Support of Art in Bulgariaʼs Contact Zones project, tutored by their professors, worked in teams on the complex task to renovate the visual identity of the only inhabited Bulgarian Black Sea island, namely St. Anastasia, by bringing forth its inimitable atmosphere, and translating its history, everyday life, natural, architectural and ethnographic specifics, and its unique attraction as a tourist destination into visual messages. The young authorsʼ designs were presented in two exhibitions: in Burgas, at the Young in Art festival, and in the 6 Shipka Str. gallery of the UBA.
The project was implemented by the financial support of the Debuts program of the Culture National Fund, in partnership with the National Academy of Arts, the Burgas municipality, the “St. Anastasia” tourist complex and the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
