Man is anxious before the expected unknown. The feeling of time running out is soothed only by illusory aspirations for a transfer of values – a projection into better times to come.

Today, the future bears a shaken promise. We live in the shadows of the impending inevitable future, with an anxious neurotic Self, with the fears of an existential shock. Today, we inhabit the world of an embittered and alienated Metaphysical Father. The fruits of the knowledge of good and evil are no longer born in his gardens. Arcadia has turned into the name of a casino, where we consume our corruption with no shame, no judgment, and no hope for salvation. Today, in the secularized world, every eschatological pathos and every metaphysical trance have been stripped away. Man at the end of history carries the sadness of a stripped horizon of expectation and is left in lonely abandonment within the only present...

After progressivist modernism, with the legacy of two world wars, constant local upheavals, substituted truths, and a rearrangement of the world, the illusions of social and cultural utopias are suffering a wreck. Today, the old world is melting in greasy bliss, hedonistic narcoses, and mass political hallucinations. Transhumanism and the migration to Mars outline an oxygenless ontology of the human.

How spiritual intuition responds, how an artist awakens their human, moral, and creative reaction of uprising and resistance is what we shall seek in The Inevitable Future project.

Can we have a future without hope, or hope without a future...?!

Do we have a prayer for tomorrow...?!

Stanislav Pamukchiev
