Prof. Aksiniya Djurovaʼs 7-volume book series entitled “Disappearing Memory: Encounters along the Way” includes 200 portraits on 2700 pages. This colossal work is not a formalized chronology based on the “memories of witnesses”. It is the result of jointly experienced events and face-to-face dialog with the actual characters.
