Rafi Chehirianʼs work was next to unknown over here. With his wife, Galina Delieva-Chehirian, they escaped through the Iron Curtain and in 1990 they settled in New York, NY. Rafi passed away 10 years ago and this adds value to his retrospective exhibition in Varna, given the linear exquisiteness and philosophical depth of his “drafts”.
