The exhibition on Valentin Topalovʼs 70th anniversary illustrates his gradual departure from any dependence on painting from nature and the burden of subject-matter, and a turn towards a sign/symbol type of expression within the non-figurative. Topalov has realized his artistic intention in acrylic with predominant abstract plasticity structure.
