Wood sculptures reincarnating old mundane objects into objects of symbolic significance, made Galina Cherian a name as an innovator in Bulgaria back in the 1980ʼs. In New York, she worked in glass sculpture and built herself a reputation with various American galleries and art forums. Recently she has been visiting Bulgaria often, and has been working in glass and painting.
