Restored works by Boris Denev and Slavka Denev from the UBA collection
This was a first opportunity for visual art lovers to see 36 unknown paintings by Boris and Slavka Denev, restored by Prof. Stefan Belihkyʼs students at the National Art Gallery. The exhibition featured detailed photographic documentation of the separate stages of the restoration process. Curators were Vessela Radoeva and Prof. Stefan Belishky.

120 Years Bulgarian Art: A Decade (1972 – 1982)
This exhibition presented paintings, graphic art, drawings and sculptures selected from the General Art Exhibition titled The Land and the People – one of the most significant forums of Bulgarian arts of the 1970ʼs and 1980ʼs.

Slavka Denev: 80th Anniversary
Slavka Denevʼs (1929 – 1984) retrospective exhibition on her 80th anniversary, presented more than 160 of the works the artist bequeathed to the UBA and also paintings property of galleries and museums across the country, and of private collections. The exhibition was accompanied by a bilingual catalog, which featured writings by art critics and close friends. Curator: Vessela Christova-Radoeva.

Restoration of works from the Boris and Slavka Denev collection bequeathed to the UBA by Slavka Denev.
In 1983, just a little while before she passed, Slavka Denev donated her family home at 18 Shipka Str., in Sofia, and all movables within, to the Union of Bulgarian Artists, including a priceless collection of hers and her fatherʼs works, comprising more than 900 paintings and more than 7,000 drawings and sketches.
